Itās no secret that Iām a HUGE fan of raw, authentic travel and Iām not usually one to throw shade on an entire country. Howeverā¦ Morocco is a unique case. This one might rub a few of you up the wrong wayā¦ but today, Iām here to talk to you about why you should NOT visit Morocco. A bold statement, I know, but after numerous chats with fellow globetrotters who seem to be in agreementā¦ we figured we had to tell you. If youāve never set foot in this fascinatingly chaotic country, you probably picture the beautiful burning sunsets, bustling souks and the waft of succulent spices filling your senses. Iāll give you that, Morocco has some truly enchanting aspects to it. But unfortunately, its dark side can severely overshadow the country's beckoning beauty. From horrid hustlers and tasteless touts to the harems of hammam-shamers, just to mention a fewā¦ I've got some pretty strong reasons. And they're all yours now. But not all is bad...Itās never nice to throw a whole country under the bus. I strongly believe that travel is a deeply personal experience. We all have different opinions on the places that we love and hate. So, who knows, you might love Morocco and you know what? I hope you do!
